Eligibility Criteria / योग्यता मानदंड:


✔️Age Limit:

  • Applicants born between June 27, 2003, and December 27, 2006, inclusive of both dates, are eligible to apply.

✔️Educational Qualification:


For Science Subjects:

  • Applicants must have successfully cleared the Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member. They should secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Passed a 3-year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the diploma course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course). OR
  • Successfully completed a Two-year Vocational Course with a non-vocational subject such as Physics and Maths from State Education Boards / Councils listed in COBSE with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course).


For Other Than Science Subjects:

  • Passed the Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE members with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
  • Completed a two-year vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE members with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course, or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Courses


Mandatory Medical Standards:

  • Height: The minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm.
  • Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm.
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
  • Corneal Surgery (PRK / LASIK) is not acceptable. Visual requirements are as applicable as per Indian Air Force standards.
  • Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing, i.e., be able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
  • Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.


Agniveer Vayu Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

  • Complete a 1.6 km run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
  • Candidates must also accomplish 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within the specified time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.

  • General, EWS, OBC, ST, SC Candidates: Rs. 250/-
  • PWD Candidates: Rs. 250/-

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया:


✔️Phase 1: Online Test:

  • Eligible candidates will receive provisional admit cards for Phase – I of testing via their registered e-mail IDs 48-72 hours prior to the examination. They should download and print a color copy of the admit card and bring it to the examination center on the scheduled day of the online test, as indicated on their respective admit cards, to participate in the selection test.
  • Candidates can also download this provisional admit card through the candidate's login on the CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
  • The online test will be objective in nature and will have bilingual questions (English & Hindi), except for the English paper.
  • For candidates opting for both Science subjects and other than Science subjects, the online test will be conducted in a single sitting, on the same system. Candidates should carry a blue/black pen and their original AADHAR card with them for Phase – I testing.
  • Details of the test are as follows: –

(a) Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 60 minutes and will comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
(b) Other Than Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 45 minutes and will include English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
(c) Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 85 minutes and will consist of English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus, along with Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
(d) Marking pattern for the online test: (i) One mark for each correct answer. (ii) Nil (0) marks for unanswered questions. (iii) 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

✔️Phase 2 Selection:

  • Shortly after the announcement of the Phase-I (Online) Test results, a cut-off will be applied based on candidates' marks in the Phase I Test. SHORTLISTED candidates will receive a new admit card for Phase – II testing at a designated ASC via their registered e-mail IDs.
  • These Phase-II exam admit cards can also be downloaded online through the candidate’s login on the CASB web portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
  • Candidates must report to the designated ASC on the specified date and time for Phase-II, along with the following documents:-

(a) Color printout of the Phase-II admit card.
(b) Color printout of the duly filled application form downloaded after online registration completion.
(c) HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler, and black/blue ballpoint pen for writing.
(d) Eight copies of un-attested passport size color photographs (used for online application registration).
(e) Original and four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation passing certificate (for verification of candidate’s name, father’s name, and date of birth).
(f) Original and four self-attested photocopies of the matriculation marks sheet (applicable for three-year diploma course holders when English is not a subject in the diploma course).
(g) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination passing certificate and marks sheet. OR
Original and four self-attested photocopies of three years diploma course passing certificate and marks sheets of all semesters. OR
Original and four self-attested photocopies of two years vocational course passing certificate and all marks sheets, including non-vocational courses with subjects English, Physics, and Mathematics.
(h) Certificate for SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel), including a certificate for sons of serving / retired / deceased Air Force civilian employees.
(j) Original Phase-I admit card used during Phase-I test bearing Air Force seal and invigilator’s signature.
(k) Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate (if applicable).
