Eligibility for STPI Direct Recruitment / Fresher


(a) Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with 1st class in Electronics/Electricals/Electronics & Communications/Telecommunications/Computer Science/Information Technology. Alternatively, a Master's in Computer Applications with 1st class or M.Sc. with 1st class in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/Applied Electronics/Information Technology, along with 14 years of experience is also acceptable.

 

OR

 

(b) Candidates should hold a Master's Degree in Technology/Engineering with 1st class in Electronics/Electricals/Electronics & Communications/Telecommunications/Computer Science and a minimum of 12 years of experience.

 

OR

 

(c) A Ph.D. in Science/Engineering in any of the above-mentioned disciplines/inter-disciplines, along with the qualifications mentioned in (a) or (b) above, and a total of 9 years of experience are also eligible.

 

(d) Candidates who fulfill the qualifications mentioned in (a) or (b) and subsequently acquire an MBA/Degree in Law are eligible for a relaxation of two (2) years in experience.

How to Apply ?  

Eligible Candidates must submit their applications through the official website www.stpi.in. No other mode of application will be accepted. It is essential for candidates to carefully fill out the online application form and complete all necessary steps as required. Only fully completed online applications will be considered for further recruitment processes.

 

For individuals currently employed in Central/State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous organizations, it is mandatory to provide a copy of the NOC (No Objection Certificate) issued by their respective organization while applying online.


Application Fees

 

a) For Group ‘A’ post (Level-10 & above), candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) 

 

b) Below Group ‘A’ post (Below Level-10), candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) per application.

Section 1: Digital Circuits

  • Number representations: binary, integer, and floating-point numbers.
  • Combinatorial circuits: Boolean algebra, minimization using Boolean identities and Karnaugh map, logic gates and CMOS implementations, arithmetic circuits, code converters, multiplexers, decoders.
  • Sequential circuits: latches, flip-flops, counters, shift-registers, finite state machines, propagation delay, setup and hold time, critical path delay.
  • Data converters: sample and hold circuits, ADCs, and DACs.
  • Semiconductor memories: ROM, SRAM, DRAM.
  • Computer organization: Machine instructions, addressing modes, ALU, data-path, control unit, instruction pipelining.

Section 2: Computer Organization and Architecture

  • Machine instructions and addressing modes.
  • ALU, data-path, and control unit.
  • Instruction pipelining and pipeline hazards.
  • Memory hierarchy: cache, main memory, secondary storage.
  • I/O interface: interrupt and DMA mode.

Section 3: Programming and Data Structures

  • Concept of layering: OSI and TCP/IP Protocol Stacks.

Section 10: Communications

  • Random processes: autocorrelation and power spectral density, properties of white noise, filtering of random signals through LTI systems.
  • Analog communications: amplitude modulation and demodulation, angle modulation and demodulation, spectra of AM and FM, superheterodyne receivers.
  • Information theory: entropy, mutual information, and channel capacity theorem.
  • Digital communications: PCM, DPCM, digital modulation schemes (ASK, PSK, FSK, QAM), bandwidth, inter-symbol interference, MAP, ML detection, matched filter receiver, SNR and BER.
  • Fundamentals of error correction, Hamming codes, CRC.
