SCERT PET 2023 Goverment of Assam Admit Card Eligibilty Exam Pattern Syllabus

 

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) is organizing the Pre Entry Test (PET) for the academic year 2023-2025, offering a gateway to  2 -Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course. The course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal School/BTC/Pvt. TEIs) of the state for the academic session 2023-2025.

 

Minimum Education Qualification

To apply for PET, you must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.. Only Indian citizens residing in Assam are eligible in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.For candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.

Age

The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July, 2023. There
will be relaxation by 2 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) & ST(H) categories

 

Reservation

Reservation of seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories including OBC/MOBC,
SC, ST(P), ST(H), Person with Disability (PWD), EWS will be as per Reservation Policy.


How To Apply ?

Applicants are required to submit their application form exclusively through online mode by visiting the official website at https://scertpet.co.in. No other method of application will be accepted or considered. A Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six Hundred Only) for all categories to be paid online through Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card etc. during submission of application form

Section-I

 
A. General English: Covers various aspects of English language usage, including vocabulary, tenses, verbs, prepositions, comprehension, voice change, narration, adverbs, synonyms, and antonyms.


B. General Knowledge: Includes current affairs, who's who, abbreviations, the constitution of India, history of Assam, inventions and discoveries, sports, art and culture, everyday science, world organizations, geography of India, educational commissions and committees, new educational initiatives, and educational organizations.


C. Reasoning: Focuses on logical and analytical reasoning, patterns, and related concepts.

Section-II

 
A. Mathematics: Encompasses topics such as numbers, fractions, percentage, money, geometry, measurement, data handling, square and square root, ratio and proportion, simple algebraic equations.


B. Science & Environmental Science: Covers natural and social environment, environmental degradation, biodiversity, environmental protection, states and characteristics of matter, chemical reactions, force, energy, motion, cells, adaptation in plants, reproduction in plants, microorganisms, heat and temperature, acids, bases and salts, light and reflections, weather and climate, respiration in organisms and plants.


C. Social Science: Focuses on topics related to natural and human resources, Indian freedom movement, constitution of India, democracy, history of the Ahom kingdom, ancient urban civilization, government (state and central), Earth's structure, consumer protection, role of financial institutions, transport and communication, agricultural and industrial development, India after independence, medieval administrators' contributions in Assam's socio-economic development.


D. Language: Addresses the objectives and importance of language learning, application of phrases and idioms, language learning skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), methods of language teaching, differences between home language and mother tongue, grammar rules (suffix, prefix, gender, coalescence of words), verb and number (singular and plural), reading comprehension test, and Nattabidhi, Sattabidhi.


Results and Counseling

After declaration of district wise result with score & category wise rank, online
counseling will be held where candidates will have to mandatory give their preferences
of TEIs where he/she intends to study. However, candidates will be allotted in their
preferred TEI based on their score and category.
